I'm doing something right, just not sure what ...

Since switching the morning exercises from the knee routine, to a more general combination of knee and heart exercises I've actually been seeing sinus rhythm in the morning. Something that has not happened for a long time. I've an appointment to see the latest physio at the doctor's surgery tomorrow when hopefully we can sort a tidier daily routine of exercises.

Last Thursday I had a phone call from the hospital offering me an appointment the next day which of cause I grabbed. Was not quite sure what to expect, but while the 24 hour ECG had shown the messy rhythm, the one taken at the hospital was what I would call perfect. The conversation with the consultant some hour later ( well after the appointment time ) was perhaps not satisfactory. He was only interested in the echocardiogram results from last December, which showed a slightly leaky heart valve. He 'did not see any need to give me medication', which seem a strange thing to say since I'm already on a coctail of 7 tablets. Trying to address that got shot down, and I will just get another echo some time in the next couple of years. Just keep on doing what I am doing ...

Monday I put a message in to the doctor as to my concerns over the continual need for all the meds given what I have achieved over the last year. I was pleasantly surprised to get a phone call back within an hour and currently I'm logging my obs for a week for her to review. We agreed that the results and nannying from the Samsung devices has to be taken with a pinch of salt, but the watch IS now seeing things better and the last 7 days the HRV has been in the 50ms range rather than 6-700. In addition I think my sleep is less disrupted although the watch is complaining it is poor which I am ignoring.

All I am hoping to achieve tomorrow is an ongoing exercise plan that is a little lighter than currently. While my knee is still giving jip, the tightness in my chest has been less noticible in the times when SR has been maintained, so if the heart exercises are helping control that I'm happy to keep it up. Only problem know is I'm working up a little sweat during the 30 minute session and could do with a shower. Yesterday I actually went over the main block to get one and talked to the 'Retirement Living Office' about any progress on getting a shower in here ...
