The health blog will explain why there has been such a gap since the previous post. I did manage a post on the Dalek progress but that was 4 weeks ago as the next batch of parts has just been delivered. Will get into that when I get back from physio appointment later, and I see that the following set includes the first of the base motors. Not that it will be moving around the floor any time soon. I do need to sort a bigger shelf to allow me to lay the current base flat.

I have been having fun with a number of things such as the 'white' filament supplied by Banggood actually being a light grey, and a noticeable difference to the white I had been using

Funny White Match
. Trying to get some response from them involved me creating videos of it actually printing using the grey filament. Go figure and difficult while my arm was playing up. I managed two videos which they then wanted uploading on Youtube, which I don't use, so I have them on the video clip gallery here. We are waiting on Geeetech's response, so close the ticket after 7 days because *I* have not replied is just crass. So I've unsubscribed from their site emails and told them why! The printer is currently printing a replacement for the problem section using white from another supplier which is an almost perfect match to the original.

I'm still battling with the housing association over the use of the loft space, but at least they have now decided to make a site visit ... sometime. The referral of the complaint to the housing ombudsman will be a while yet before it's reviewed so we shall see which happens first. The Christmas decorations are at least back up there and I have tidied up the kit that resulted in the damage to my arm. In addition, the cabinet for the Micromill that I put on eBay has sold to a lad not many miles away from here, so all that remains in the garage can move to the flat.  I managed to break down the large bench and two of the four racks, but by then my arm was unusable, so I need a trip back to finish that off.

Good news is I've had an enquiry from one of my Micromill clients who would like some spare stepper motors so I've got the controller down from the loft and on the dining table to check them out. The bad news is that the Taig setup computer will not boot up, so I've had to pull the second computer down as well. Irritating since I had tested them both before they went up. The other niggle is of cause I have the closed loop Microproto box, but the open loop 240V box needs some work before I can check those stepper motors. Still that I am able to make progress on this is more good news. The rotary table seems to be jammed, but I can work on that once I have a set of three motors packaged up.

Another area I need to work on is the software for the website as a few things seem to have broken and I'm not sure why. On the admin side, so the display is fine, but if anybosy does spot a problem on any of the sites please drop me an email.
