Having put the decorations up over the weekend I also swapped the pictures on the wall from railway jigsaws to my Christmas ones, but the third frame had not been populated since it was added some time back, so time to complete another jigsaw ...
The third jigsaw is from the sam series as the original two, but has a lot more detail making it a lot slower going. That that I was too bothered. I had the snooker on the TV, but did not actually see much over three days, and by Thursday morning all I had left to complete was the sky which was polished off before my morning exercise. So in the end not much longer than the first two. However there was a piece missing, and I can't see where it can have gone to as I had been working on the floor, and everything was kept on the jigsaw mat and pockets so was it missing from the start? I've managed to create a replacement of sorts. The colour match could be better, but from normal viewing distance you do not notice since the detail is so busy. I had thought there were two pieces missing, but I was left with a piece that did not go in another hole, but on inspection, and identically shaped part near by was in the wrong hole, and a quick swap cleared that problem. That many of the parts of these jigsaws are the same shapes being duplicates of a cutter that only has a small footprint adds to the fun when trying to place them using shape rather than colour. The sky was fun on that count, but in the end the colours just stand out as wrong until the correct pieces are paired up.
