Taig Lathe Project

Another project in the TODO file is the lathe, and I've been putting it off a bit because I could not decide how to mount the motor. Then I realised I have all the tools I need to solve the problem, I just need to print suitable plastic parts to lift the lathe up 30 or 40 centimetres and provide an adjustable bracket for the motor base. Two more jobs for FreeCAD and why not model the lathe on the way ... With safety in mind, the obvious following step is an MDF or plywood cover over the drive belt which should not be difficult.

Flat Head Bolts
The bolts also rolled up for the laser printer and there is a good 1.5mm extra clearance on each side so now I need to check this out in the software. Of cause if I had measured twice, the new bolts would have been 30mm long rather than 40, but it turns out I need the longer length for the bed modifications on the 3D printer so killing two birds. Just need to sort the small hacksaw to tidy up the laser.
