A little chaotic in that I did a lot of things twice, but still very successful week and I now have an electronic copy of the magazines for the Flying Scotsman Build. That is documented on the project blog. I've spotted that the search processing for all the websites has stopped working, in that the new content is not being indexed. Something I need to go and have a look at. In addition, I need to pull together the various strings better, so that the blog overview will link to the wiki pages and once again I need to action getting to the book view of a collection of wiki pages. The main thing that I've achieved this week is that all of the parts for the model are now together, and the next step is to tidy the tool kit so I've all the tools to hand. Even the motor module to motorise it has turned up which I'd sensibly put in with some of the tools at some point in the past. Also I had a run to the Cheltenham Model Railway Exhibition yesterday and Hereford Model Shop had a box of 0 Gauge track which they sold me a single length of so even the display problem has been addressed. Given the price of the track I don't think I'll be adding a complete circuit just for one loco, so need to find some way to run it WHEN it's fully completed.
I've tracked down Model Engineer on Internet Archive and this seems to have a number of magazines that are missing from my personal electronic collection, so yet another TODO list item. In the meantime I need to make the Flying Scotsman magazines searchable and add them properly to the library.
Still waiting on an OK on actually using the loft area, but to be honest I don't see how they can stop me at least using the safe area for storage and there is a problem with damp at the garage so I am pulling the CNC kit and computers back to the flat anyway and need that space!
