What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file that a website saves on your computer or mobile device when you visit the site. How do we use cookies?

• We do not link to third party advertising sites and only use cookies to manage display of the selected information

• They aim to enhance the performance of the website

• Session cookies are used, but we do have to use a permanent cookie to let us know that you HAVE seen the banner!

• Storage of cookies are managed by your browser and most have their own options to prevent the storage of even session cookies. Please use these facilities if you do not wish any cookies to be stored. This will however result in the regulation query banner appearing all the time the site is being used. Which is why the banner is displayed across the bottom of the screen.

How to control cookies

You can delete all cookies that are already on your computer and you can set most browsers to prevent them from being placed. If you do this, however, you may have to manually adjust some preferences every time you visit a site and some services and functionalities may not work, such as remembering which tab was open on a page or other personal layout selections.
