Blender
Blender - Tumbleweed has version 2.5.2 available in Flatpak while 2.5.3 is now available, but I'll stick with the supported version for the moment.
If in doubt ... read the manual ... Like FreeCAD, much of this is not as intuitive as it used to be with the older CAD software and I started on AutoCAD 3.something. Still have the dongle around somewhere! Importing 2D material into any of these 3D tools can be challenging and I do have a lot of paper drawings for things like the Isle of Man ships, traction engines and similar paper based documentation. On the TODO list as always is scanning and processing them for which Rasterstitch and Verctorise are still a good falback, even if I have to resort to the windows machine to run them. Linux replacements may be available today but I've not found them yet.
Need to work out which is better as a stepping stone between the 2D and 3D worlds.
