A little of topic but I know that you lot appreciate the problems.

VERY much a work in progress but I picked up the domain name earlier this week after another annoying session of trying to get things working here at home.

Many of you are like me on an internet connections where reliability and any real bandwidth is something of a pipe dream, and the increasing volume of eye candy, animations, and advertising makes web browsing painful at times. Additionally having had my son and daughter both move back home to help them save for their own accommodation ( another pipe dream? ) THEY want to use the same limited bandwidth.

Currently we are copying videos and music onto USB sticks because they are in the wrong place to view them and the 'media server' can't cope with all of the material we have spread across the system ...

There is a lot more material in my brain that needs dumping to the website, but the intention is to document everything one needs to tidy up the home systems. I'll add the security system some time soon, but the uplink bandwidth is not good enough to support making it available fulltime. I HAVE been watching the dogs on my smartphone while away and seeing which one was being naughty but this is another area that the current network connections don't allow fulltime access :( And  being a spendthrift I also need to keep an eye one any extra costs that will incur!

Just another job on the TODO list is to get all of my email traffic archived in the bitweaver based management package ...
