ckeditor going forward

The fun with using older packages of software is keeping them going moving forward. ckeditor4 is tagged that support is now chargeable and that one should move on to version 5, but that is creating it's own problems. So I'm back on the last open source build of version 4 and it's still working fine to type this content which for me is all that matters. I've found a few extra add-ons that still work with it, and I will tidy things up on that basis. There is even an addon that manages the Bootstrap 3 layouts which looks quite interesting, but I don't have time to play yet. VERY annoyingly, ckeditor as started the clock on a 14 day trial of CK5, but I don't have time to play with that either! I just want to concentrate on the more immediate problem and get into a position that I CAN play with the new stuff.
