It's been a while since I had a rant, although I have had things to rant about, but this one definitly need documenting.

Not having mains power in the garage, I'd replaced a number of battery powered items over the last year, using Lidl's Parkside tools for consistency and the discounts. Been having a little fun with the monitor setup on the desktop machine and now I have all four 4k monitors hooked up and surround sound working off the LG 'Smart' TV. The only problem is that the setup keeps screwing up when the TV is switched on and off. That and the right hand monitor does not go to screen save when the other to do. Claude is telling me I can switch off the "Automatically configure displays" but there isn't on option displayed in Tumbleweed to disable it? Linking up the aud…

Had a nice round trip yesterday seeing the autumn Miniatura show at Stoneleigh and the N Gauge Show the other side of Leamington. Seeing what can be achieved just makes me more eager to get on with my own projects but I am still a little in limbo. I need to be able to set up the workspace properly and that is where the loft space is an ideal target, but which currently I am being told "you can't use". The reasons for which seem rather out of date these days?

Have spent two hours trying to work out why the drop-downs were not working again. I'd duplicated everything from the development machine which is working fine, but no joy. Had a long session with Claude again and learnt a lot about debugging the JavaScript stuff so not a total waste of time, but while we had said make sure the files are the same ... which they were in BeyondCompare! Five weeks on after the latest request about using the loft space here and still no reply from Rooftop to my Rooftop Alteration Request. There should have been a responce in two weeks but despite a number of chases nothing has happened yet. SO time to fire up the complaints process yet again. Something that a recent public meeting at the Rooftop office was held to review the process which it was decided should not even be necessary?

The request is simply to make the loft space safe…
