I had posted an update a couple of days ago, but due to distractions caused by other technology not working I failed to save it and can't even remember just what was in that post.
The main part was the failure of the Samsung Watch4 to record that I HAD been asleep in the previous nights and it's nannying that I needed to wear it at night ... which I had been! The problem I think I have is that my heart rate is too low normally for the watch to accurately use it to monitor sleep, just as when it's in it's messy mode, as currently, it is impossible to get a blood pressure reading. I wasted Friday morning trying to get help from Samsung but only succeeded in the 'solution' of sending it in to have it looked at and repaired. Since it is not under warrantee that would be chargeable but no indication of cost. The first step was however a factory reset and that has now been completed along with having to give Samsung all of my personal data 'as a backup', which should NOT have been needed since that is backed up in the apps anyway. The result is I now get sleep scores in the 50's and while last night it did record sleep up until a little after midnight, I actually woke up a little before 6AM which it has not tagged while having logged my heart rate for the period. That I have heart rate records for all of the nights shows that the watch WAS on my wrist, but the automated scripts the agent uses did not accept that.
I had a nice day out yesterday having walked around Wellesbourne Market first, which is nothing like it used to be, although the loss of over a third of the stalls does leave much wide walkways between them. Will not be going back any time soon, and dropped into the Maybird shopping centre to pick up a new pair of Hobbs shoes at a lot lower price than the market was selling similar ones. I then dropped around the corner to Charlecote and took a stroll around the park. I have a National Trust membership so may as well use it. While I did not go through the house this time, I did drop into the servants outbuildings and took some more photos of the Victorian kitchen ranges. The smaller on is a candidate to model for the dolls house.
In addition to shoes, I picked up a few other bits at the Maybird. I've decided that while buying finished models for the railway would be nice, I can't justify the cost, but in order to scratch build I need to replace tools that I have lost which eats somewhat into the potential savings. That and the fact I WILL need to practice my painting skills. The blow torch was one of the tools I no longer have and while I've picked up a kit from B&Q which will hopefully do the job, it's not as powerful as the one it replaces ... and I need somewhere safe to be able to use it.
But this is about health not hobby activities. I clocked up a substantial number of steps during the day, and now my energy score has been marked down and the nannying is saying to REDUCE my activity. That is simply going too far! With all the activity, I only managed a few minutes with my heart rate over 100bpm and it should perhaps be that which it is logging properly. I still don't know if pushing my exercises to give a longer period is ACTUALLY any help, but walking around is better than sitting in front of a screen, be that TV or Computer, so while I have reason to be out I will take it.
I had hoped that the change I had missed would have kicked the heart back into a good sinus rhythm, but no sign yet. The one thing I'd ignored was that the Calcium and Vitamin D supplement I'd been taking for the previous 90 days had run out and I failed to replace it. I have a new bottle now but the heart is still in the shitty mode, and I am not as comfortable during the day as I was in the two weeks of perfect sinus rhythm. Sould have rung up Friday to see if there has been any feedback on the ECG taken last Wednesday ... I forgot ...
