Now that I have a weeks worth of readings via the watch I'm thinking where to go next. My heart runs in two modes, good and bad, although the bad mode may not be consistent. A bad pulse is characterised by a strong first pulse followed by a poor second pulse and a delay with a basic rate in the 30BPM range. There may well be a few good pulses between each bad pulse, but first thing in the morning they tend to be all bad. I've just done my physio on my right knee and that seems to get the heart into a good mode, and I've actually got a blood pressure reading after finishing it, something that I have yet to achieve first thing, so I'm still using the arm monitor first thing. I've also logged the physio in the Samsung App which has logged how long I took over each stage, something that the physio app has never recorded! I'll still tag that I've finished the set on the phone, but at least now I can check that I'm keeping to a regular pattern in carrying out each exercise.
Tomorrow I'll decide if I bother continuing to use the other NHS apps. Active 10 and Weight Loss. Both of these are much better supported by figures from the watch and recorded in the Samsung Health app so all I've been doing is copying figures from one app to the other ... why bother when the NHS is not actually monitoring my inputs?
This just leaves the SilverCrest app and in particular the weighing scales. Although my morning temperature is still only recorded there as well. The morning ritual now includes putting the weight into the watch and using the body mass check it does, although it's at adds with the figures that the scale returns which has been part of my gripe about inconsistency. The watch is saying that my muscle and water levels are too high, while the scales have them in the low normal. Since my water levels where well below the lower line initially I do question that and I think I am not 'over-hydrated'. Body fat is almost in the green on the scales and at least the watch matches that although there is a 4% difference in the actual figures. Just a little more weight to loose and I will be below a BMI of 25 which was my original target from June last year. At least the Samsung App is helping me track calorie intake and while the balance is a little off at times at least the fiber intake is good. It is just a little annoying that things like Iron and the like are not properly provided by the lookup, and there is no automatic count of 'five a day' which I still find at odds with calories at time. Fruit is too high in sugar so skews the balance and takes me well over the daily allowance!
Update ... bit the bullet this morning and killed off both Active 10 and Weight Loss applications. Still leaves the physio app which I only need to see the exercises and we will see what hapens on the 8th April when I've completed the whole schedule. I am now logging each days session using a hack of one of the Samsung Health exercise routines which is at least recording the time taken and when it was done which is a bonus now.
