I had posted an update a couple of days ago, but due to distractions caused by other technology not working I failed to save it and can't even remember just what was in that post.

The main part was the failure of the Samsung Watch4 to record that I HAD been asleep in the previous nights and it's nannying that I needed to wear it at night ... which I had been! The problem I think I have is that my heart rate is too low normally for the watch to accurately use it to monitor sl…

Since switching the morning exercises from the knee routine, to a more general combination of knee and heart exercises I've actually been seeing sinus rhythm in the morning. Over the last year at least waking up with my heart in something close to a sinus rhythm was just an occasional rarity. However since Monday I have been seeing a stable 50ish bpm and the Smarty watch has had no problem taking a blood pressure reading. There are still the occasional glitches where a beat is missed, but not very often first thing. The watch app is complaining that I need to add4ress my HRV reading as it's 'not good', but I'll wait a couple more days until hopefu…

HIIT added to the mix

I am still having fun with waking up too early in the morning and am being told I need to 'relax more' which seems counter productive when I'm also told I need to get my heart rate up! The latest regime now includes a session of HIIT first thing in the morning, and splitting my 40 minute brisk walk into two higher intensity 20 minute walks. This makes sence and I added a second walk later yesterday which actually got my heart rate up into the 'Anaerobic' band, which I thin…
